How do you feel about interracial relationships/marriage?

First of all, I want to say that I'm not looking for validation of any type. I just married my soulmate, he's black and I'm white. Throughout our 3 year relationship we have come across people who gave us a hard time and awkward glances and comments while together in public. I'm just curious to find out what the general public HONESTLY thinks about interracial couples. What is the first thing that pops into your mind when ping a couple on the street (if anything)? I see a lot of people make the comment that the children will suffer, do you really believe that to be true or is it just an umption?
