HELP!!! my ear is stuffed and i cant hear!?

my ear was FINE last night before i went to sleep i woke up this morning my mom came in and said goodbye and i realized that my ear had lots of pressure and it felt like i had a cork in there it just feels like there is something in my ear hopefully it will just be wax buildup im going to the DR.s tonight after my dad gets home from work so hopefully i will just get some ear drops and i will be on my way <3 i hope but in the mean time hat can i do to sooth it?
