Should IRS look into tax exempt status of Catholic Church and Mormons for proposition 8 political campaign ?

If the Mormon church is getting into politics and using it's money to help decide elections, then don't you think Mitt Romney would be running for President instead of John McCain? The Mormon church might suggest a way for the followers to vote, but any organized groups are set up by the church members themselves, no church money is used for politics.
