I favor my left side, how do I get out of that habit and even things out?

I favor my left side on pretty much everything i do, i notice walking I put more pressure on my left leg/foot, and I also shoot ball/kick left handed/footed if that is important, although i write right handed. Anyways this has become troubling recently cus I have taken up weightlifting the past couple of months and my left arm seems to pick up most of the work when I lift weights and because of this it has grown bigger than my right arm. Also, when doing situps, my left abs are clearly way bigger and more defined than my right abs. I try to be consciously aware of this when lifting weights and focus more on my right side, but it just doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know how I can start 'favoring my right side' more?
