MTG Creature Type Question?

Elf is the type of creature it is, Warrior or scout is a subtype so regardless of the addition of the sub type the creature is still considered an elf, so you would gain 1 life for every elf in play, four would be the answer. Also to trully complete an elf deck you need some " Wellwisher's" tap it and gain one life for every elf in play it is a good way to control game length to allow yourself time to get a giant creature in to play.
