My Kitten won't eat..?

An 8 week old kitten should still be with his mother. I don't return my foster kittens to the shelter for neutering and adoption until they are at least 12 weeks. He should be fed canned kitten food, with a bit of kitten kibble available. As to what's wrong with him, it could be anything. Sorry, but he needs to see the vet. When someone adopts a cat at our shelter, they sign a form promising to take the cat to their vet within 10 days of adoption. Your cat needs to be examined, checked for parasites, and given his second round of shots. At 12 weeks he will need to see the vet again for neutering, his last distemper shot and his rabies vaccine. Call your local shelter and they should be able to refer you to some low-cost clinics. If you can't afford basic vet care for your kitten you shouldn't have a pet.
